Concealer: Before or After Foundation?

Prior to my enrollment in makeup school, I always knew concealer should be applied after foundation but when my instructor was creating the first look, she said concealer should go first and I was startled like 'what is she saying, this is just wrong'. This was going on in my head anyways (I didn't say it out but had my poker face on), even though I felt she was doing the wrong thing. Next day I got to school early and a couple of other trainees that were around, so I randomly asked; "should concealer be applied before or after foundation and they both said it should be before foundation with so much confidence". Well... I wasn't going to back down because I still didn't agree with the rationale behind their position but I don't enjoy arguing, so I just let it pass and more so, I wasn't about to make concealer an issue. Moving on, I was working on my models and I decided to try out both methods, "before and after foundation" and I realised neither approach is wrong nor right, it works both ways .

It's totally up to you which ever one you want to apply first BUT I think it depends on the type of concealer you are using. If you are using a colour correcting concealer like the "Coastal Scents Camo Quad Corrector", a Ce

I'll recommend applying it before the foundation because u don't want the specific colour showing and bringing attention to the blemish or scar you are trying to cover.

But when it comes to other types of concealer, you can get away with any of the two application methods but I will still recommend using the foundation first especially if you are using a liquid concealer like the "Maybelline Fit Me" concealer.
It is a light concealer so there is a probability of it coming off when applying the foundation
But if you are using a stick or cream concealer like the Tara concealer...
This group of concealers are usually thick so you can apply before your foundation and it will still stay and not wipe off. I generally recommend concealer after foundation because sometimes after applying the foundation you'll realise you don't need concealer. However, if you are using a powder foundation, the concealer MUST go before the foundation there's no argument about that.

Always apply your foundation with a foundation brush using the dabbing motion, (don't rub or drag) so if you apply the concealer first it does wipe it off and if you are using the foundation first, the dabbing motion covers blemish and scars better because you are placing it 'on and leaving it there'. No dragging as this will take it away and and you might just not need concealer

Like I mentioned at the beginning, there is no right or wrong method. If "before or after" works for you, then go ahead.

Product Review: La Girl Beauty Brick Blush Palette in Spice

Happy New Year Guys, this post was supposed to be posted a long time ago but my laptop gave up in me so I'm really sorry about my inconsistency. The la girl brand is a brand we have all come to love because they are of good quality and very affordable. I was just browsing through the beautyrev website sometime last year and I came across these palettes and I knew I had to try it out. This comes in four different shades: Glow, Pinky, Spice and Glam I felt Spice was the darkest shade so I picked Spice but realised later that Glam is actually the darkest shade, Spice still worked for me though.    According to LA Girl website : " F our gorgeous blush palettes - each collection pairs two blush shades with a coordinated bronzer and highlighter.
