SKINCARE: MICRODERMABRASION

Hello sugars, if you have constant a build up of dead flaky skin around your nose and chin and clogged pores no matter what you use den I can certainly relate, I have used different types of exfoliators but it always comes back within a very short period until i discovered microdermabrasion. It's been around for a while but i never really paid attention to it
Microdermabrasion treatments use a minimally abrasive instrument to gently sand your skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer. it is more or less like an effective alternative to costly procedures like plastic surgery, chemical peels and botox injections. This type of skin rejuvenation is used to treat light scarring, discolouration, sun damage, and stretch marks( yes u read right). It helps to make the collagen( collagen is protein in the skin whose main function is to sustain tendons, skin and cartilage. It provides integrity, firmness and elasticity to their structures.) thicker which results in younger looking complexion.

Microdermabrasion can Improve age spots and black heads,Improves hyperpigmentation, exfoliate your skin, reduce lines and wrinkles, reduce enlarged pores, treat acne and the scars left by acne.
The results are instant all though you might experience  redness or little bruising that is temporary, BUT as good as microdermabrasion is its not for everyone if you have eczema, open sores or wide spread acne you should see the doctor first
To get microdermabrasion done you can go to a dermatologist or a certified spa don't hesitate to ask about their training its your skin you are entrusting them with. There's a lot of spas around just make sure you pick the right one don't always do for the cheapest because the result actually depends on their expertise.
This  is the best part if you don't have time to go the spa there are now home made microdermabrasion kits. I'll do a post on the home made kits I know and a review on the particular one I used that actually worked for me.

Product Review: La Girl Beauty Brick Blush Palette in Spice

Happy New Year Guys, this post was supposed to be posted a long time ago but my laptop gave up in me so I'm really sorry about my inconsistency. The la girl brand is a brand we have all come to love because they are of good quality and very affordable. I was just browsing through the beautyrev website sometime last year and I came across these palettes and I knew I had to try it out. This comes in four different shades: Glow, Pinky, Spice and Glam I felt Spice was the darkest shade so I picked Spice but realised later that Glam is actually the darkest shade, Spice still worked for me though.    According to LA Girl website : " F our gorgeous blush palettes - each collection pairs two blush shades with a coordinated bronzer and highlighter. Instantly contour with complimentary shades and blendable colour in both matte and shimmery finishes for multidimensional colour. Each luxurious, glossy book includes a mirror inside" This comes in a lightweight cardboard p...

Concealer: Before or After Foundation?

Prior to my enrollment in makeup school, I always knew concealer should be applied after foundation but when my instructor was creating the first look, she said concealer should go first and I was startled like 'what is she saying, this is just wrong'. This was going on in my head anyways (I didn't say it out but had my poker face on), even though I felt she was doing the wrong thing. Next day I got to school early and a couple of other trainees that were around, so I randomly asked; "should concealer be applied before or after foundation and they both said it should be before foundation with so much confidence". Well... I wasn't going to back down because I still didn't agree with the rationale behind their position but I don't enjoy arguing, so I just let it pass and more so, I wasn't about to make concealer an issue. Moving on,  I was working on my models and I decided to try out both methods, "before and after foundation" and I realis...
